Getting Here

When arriving in the Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego area by plane, the nearest major airport is the San Diego International Airport which is located about 2 miles from the base. Taxi or greyhound bus services are available from the airport. If arriving by car, MCRD San Diego is located on the west side of I-5 which runs north and south. Take I-5 to the Old Town Avenue exit and then turn right onto Witherby and go for two blocks to the main gate. If in need of temporary lodging, contact the Depot Transient Billeting by calling 619-524-4401. Room rates are reasonable, but pets are not allowed.
